Eastman Chemical

Like many chemical companies, Eastman Chemical, is coming to grips with how to reconcile former environmental missteps, while defining what sustainability means for its company’s trajectory and culture. Eastman’s sustainability department is tasked with normalizing sustainability and providing services and support to a workforce with little cultural investment in sustainability.

We developed an unexpected internal campaign called: “Sustainability isn’t just for hippes.” Large-scale installations and intranet profiles feature images and stories of actual Eastman employees who work on inherently sustainable projects but are far from eco-groovy types. The campaign addresses cultural stereotypes around sustainability head-on, while being fun and relatable.
