For the Win

My kids are big mountain bike racers.

A couple weekends ago, at the CO State MTB Championships, they both won their age categories (11/12 women and 16/17 men).

Results are fun. But what gets us there, as athletes and humans, is process and discipline.

At the beginning of the summer my oldest told my youngest, “Don’t expect results if you don’t do the work.”

Similar to the best athletes, the best brands remember this advice when facing the competition.

Alongside these wise words from a 16 year-old, we’ve found other keys to success for both athletes and brands:

  • Strike the right balance between work and rest to be on top of your game.
  • Surround yourself with people who can help you.
  • Always be ready to perform your best.
  • Show up authentically and passionately.
  • And stay positive.

These tenets make “doing the work” seem a little less daunting. Together, they give us a game plan as summer wraps up and we begin the sprint into planning season and the second part of the year.

So, what’s the work that you need to do be on top of your game?

You’ve got this. And we’re here for you.
