Mother’s Day is this weekend, and I’d like to take a moment to celebrate all of the mothers in the Walden Hyde office.
Over the last couple of years, we’ve had four babies join our ranks (with a fifth on the way!).
The new normal of our virtual office has made this a special time for our new parents.
Lucia and I each have two kids. Our kids are around the same age, and just the other day we were chatting about how amazing it would have been to have a virtual office when they were born. Even though we’ve always granted generous time for paid family leave and flexible work schedules, a fully remote workplace wouldn’t have happened in the old days.
Now, our weekly Slack all-hands meeting is also a gush-fest with babies everywhere. The babies are even starting to interact with each other, which is pretty much the most adorable thing ever.
I’m so happy of the supportive business that Walden Hyde is, making sure families have flexible work hours and plenty of cuddle time for motivation.
Our team makes Walden Hyde what it is, and we do everything we can to keep folks happy, supported, and creative.
For us, part of creating a caring work environment is also supporting reproductive rights, which we’re doing by making a donation to the Center for Reproductive Rights.
